Hello again! I've yet another little square card to share with you today.  I'm finding that some of my older stamps fit better on these, both stamp designs and cards seem to be getting bigger, but I still have that stash of small envies to use up!

The image is a Helz Cuppleditch design for Stampavie and being a clear polymer stamp it works beautifully with Momento ink so I can colour with my Copic pens without any worries. I couldn't see this image back through my blog so it must have been several years ago that I used it .. .. and then I think just the once so it's about time it saw ink again!

The base card is created with SU! card from my stash to match the piece of flowery printed digi paper in my basket.  I've cut mats from white and burgundy coredinations card (taking an emery board to the edges of the burgundy) then die cut the embellishments - all Marianne Design of course.  To finish I've stamped the greeting that came with another MD die and stamp set, and added the white liquid pearls to the centre of the flowers.

The Papertake Weekly challenge is for lots of layers - I've quite a few on my card even though they are stuck down flat for the postage! Divas by Design have set a rubber only challenge (no digis) and I'm hoping polymer is ok. My Time to Craft would like to see something for a new something - a new home in my case!

Well, I had hoped to post this card on Friday, but in the end got stuck with DIY as Jason and Mark came to help fix things.  Yesterday I was busy in the garden as well as making a cake and a roast dinner, but I did find time to do a little crafting in the evening with one eye on the Rugby match!  Today the plan was for more gardening but the wind is so strong we would be struggling to stay upright .. .. the bird feeders have already blown off the hooks on the bird table and the poor gold finches are huddled in the shrubbery waiting for a calm spell to descend, but I don't think it's going to drop for a while yet! Ah well, perhaps I can play a little more this afternoon then.  The internet is like being stuck in a traffic jam, you go forward thinking yeh! we're off, but then almost straight away grind to a halt for 10 minutes!  I am not convinced that this part of Cornwall has fast broadband (but we are paying for it), let alone super-fast!

Easter Parade

And with so many Easter and Spring challenges around just at the moment it shouldn't be too hard .. .. here's the list of those I'm linking my card too:

Sweet Stampin', Cutie Pie, Oldie but a Goodie all have Easter themes, Everybody Art are looking for Spring, Creative Inspirations are also with Spring, and Totally Gorjuss want to see something old - well my stamp is several years old, the ribbon is old and the button is recycled from an old blouse.

I also like to browse the Flourishes USA blog and see that they are running a Spring themed challenge and I don't need a Flourishes stamp to enter, so will do with this one!

For my card base I've taken a scallop square and turned it to open as a tent fold.  The papers are from the Spring Chic pack matted with yellow textured card.  The cute image is by Helz Cuppleditch for Stampavie and is a stamp I've had for several years but seem to always bring out for the Spring!  I've coloured the image with Copics then cut with a Nestie before fixing to the base with 3d tape.  To embellish I've diecut little blooms and leaves from Marianne CR1210 and a spray from LR0111, and butterflies from LR0158.  To finish off I added the little gold gems to the butterflies, found a length of ribbon in spring colours to loop into a bow and then added a pearl button to finish off.

I have made a hair appointment for this afternoon at a new salon not far from here .. .. no idea what I'm going to have done though!  And with it blowing a gale whatever it looks like will end up being blown to bits before I get back to the car .. .. I had hoped it would last until I could get a picture taken so I can get my new driving licence - I have had difficulty proving that I exist and have to get it posted before the weekend or I will be permanently deleted .. .. wish the Tax man would think I didn't exist!

Ruffles Spring Basket

Sorry I have been absent again - I have been looking at crafty blogs but just not up to blogging myself for a bit.  The home situation is not as I would wish, and I have my bad moments.  I am so thankful to Jason and his girlfriend for keeping me company on Mother's Day, and to my son Mat for sending the big box of chocs!  I also have a little star Magnolia to plant, maybe one day it will be as big and beautiful as the one they gave me 20 years ago that I left behind when I moved here.  It should be flowering right now and will I am sure be amazing.

I managed to colour some images last Friday/Saturday and make up cards for my DT commitments this week, well most of them any way - I still have one to go.  This cute card is an extra from bits and pieces that were left on the table from previous makes and the little pup image is a Helz Cuppleditch stamp for Stampavie that I've had for several years.  I've coloured with my Copic pens but left off a sentiment so that I could used the card for any occasion .. .. just stamping 'With Best Wishes' inside.

The base is a 4" square cream card and the papers are from the Spring Chic pack matted with SU! Baja Breeze card.  I've used little leaf and flower punches to decorate along with the pink pearls, and that's about it.

Just one challenge to link up with my card, at Totally Papercrafts it's a punch it theme.

Spring is in the air!

So sorry to be late posting my card today, I just can't seem to get going in the mornings ... or the afternoons! We have a spring theme for our next challenge on the Oldie but a Goodie blog - I just hope it triggers some sunshine and flowers in my garden. Our very own Fleur is giving a fabulous prize and we are also looking for a guest designer to join us in April - but remember, no digi images and your stamp must be at least 6 months old.

I've inked up Ruffles by Helz Cuppleditch for Stampavie and coloured with Copics then put this simple card together with bits and pieces from my stash. The flowers and swirls are Marianne die cuts, the leaves are punched and the pearls are made with my Waco pearl pen.

I've inked the edges of my papers with Malted Mauve Versamagic chalk ink as well as adding pricked faux stitches then matting with Rose Embroidery Coredinations cardstock.
