After been organised last month and getting ahead with the challenges, this month I seem to be going around in circles and not getting anything finished the way I want. So my card for the theme is a last minute die cut creation after my original planned effort got ditched! I hope you will like it:
I recently got the fancy square die from Crafts U Love when it was a special price, so decided to cut the inner die from some old chalk covered Coredinations card then sanded back the embossed areas with an emery board. I stamped the text with Momento Rhubarb Stalk die ink, a new addition to my stash and I thought it would be pink .. .. but it's not! I've been doing some mixed media/shabby stuff recently so as the distressing tool was out on my desk, I took it to the edges of my red card layers as well as the patterned paper layer. After that it was die cut bits and bobs all the way, a little inking or distressing to the embossed areas and edges, then a final embellishment with lace, string, wire and bling. Please excuse the blob of white glue fixing my wire bow to the lace one, it has now dried clear but I was worried about loosing the light for the picture so had to snap too soon!
All the dies are Marianne Design, as is the patterned paper, lace and the red bling. The dies I used this time were:
I'm entering my card into Pixie's Snippets challenge #193 as I really have used lots of snippets to die cut my different pieces.
Thank you for stopping by. I'm not sure I will be around much as yet again I've broken a piece off another tooth so have to pluck up the courage to visit the emergency dentist. Still not managed to get a NHS dentist to take over and do proper fillings, plus I now will need several falsies fitting. It's going to be soup and mush if I have to have 3 in a row taken out top left (one that broke at the gum line a while back, one next to it that looks pretty rotten and the one I just lost the enamel and only have the filling sticking out), plus still need 1 or 2 more taking out bottom front - only one is very loose but I doubt the one next to it will be fixed enough to hold a plate in place so I guess I will loose that one too. Still, top left needs sorting out first .. .. ..
