CAS Black and White

Fabulous news yesterday .. .. I've been asked to join the DT on the Totally Papercrafts Challenge blog!  So, I thought it was only right that I make a card for this week's challenge, although I'm not sure if I can enter it or not .. .. .. The theme is for a CAS style in black and white.  Mmmmm - I was going to give this one a miss but thought surely I could come up with something easy, especially as I'm not feeling 100% at the moment. Well after a few false starts and changes of direction I created this card - I've deliberately omitted a sentiment so I can use it for anything, plus it keeps things a little simpler.  I had to have a play with my new crafty goodies, they are older Marianne dies designed by Anja van Laar, and if you haven't seen her blog do take a look .. .. after several visits I've got more of her dies on my list for Santa!  The musical score is a stamp from the Marianne Christmas set designed by Eline Pellinkhof called Eline's Winter Huis, and she also has a fabulous inspirational blog here.  Apart from a few sparkly gems in the centre of the flowers that's it for this card, hopefully it fits the bill .. .. I sat on my hands and avoided adding faux stitching on the white layers and also from cutting out any more pretty twiddly bits!

The Marianne dies I used are:
square lacy black doily - LR0169
flower from - LR0169 (small black) and LR0168 (large white)
sprays - LR0192

Totally Gorjuss want something plain and simple this week so hopefully they will like this card - it's a lot simpler than some I've been making!

  2. Love this! Black & white is one of my fave colour combos and this one is great. I really like how those little frond things look because of the black/white mix and they are so small. Those are great dies though too.
And congrats on joining the design team. They obviously know talent when they see it so good on ya!
