Well what a weekend - I am exhausted but not sure why as I didn't get much done and the internet was virtually non-existent. I did manage to finish this card but only got around to taking a pic this morning. It's one of the older LOTV images called Three Wee Kings I'd coloured up ages ago, and on the cardstock that I was happy to use at the time, but now I've found something better at my local craft shop I'm not so happy with this. The blending was difficult, especially on the blues I used for the background sheet and I found I couldn't go over the top to even things out without taking off the surface! So no close up today .. .. but, I am happy with the way the card turned out. With the mix of blues, reds and yellows in the image I couldn't find any patterned paper that would go so decided to emboss a layer of white instead. I've used my CB snowflake folder and an edge folder that looks like a row of buttons - suitable for a boyish card I thought. No flowers, but I did add a length of red satin ribbon and then a mix of Marrianne snowflake dies in red and white to finish things off.
The challenge at Cupcake Craft this week is for two, or more, characters on your creation, and Crafty Hazelnut is looking for snowflakes on this week's Christmas challenge - I hope she likes red ones!

That little camel is a real winner for a little lad & the white really works well for the background - especially with your embossing. I like the way your scalloped mat is echoed by the card's edge too. Take care of yourself.
