This week on the Cute Card Thursday blog our theme is to banish the blues - to have a little humour on your card. I'm not totally sure I nailed it with this card, my mojo has been a little under the weather just lately. Our sponsor for this challenge is Heidi at the Stamp Shoppe with a $15 gift certificate.
I kept things very simple with this card, the image is from the same 'born to shop' clear set that I used on yesterday's creation and coloured with Copics of course. I found a piece of soft patterned paper in my stash, by Designer Digitals, and added the white line and pricking faux stitch effect around the edge, although it doesn't show up too well. I've matted with pale pink textured cardstock then wrapped a length of soft blue ribbon around before embellishing with little flowers and Marianne diecut swirls. The pearls are all created with my cream pearl maker pen - it's more ivory than cream and I think the perfect pearl colour! The flowers are created with a new punch I picked up at the craft fair, after seeing my friend Wynneth using them on her creations I just had to have it!
I'm entering my card for a few challenges too: Crafty Catz have been looking for flowers, My Time To Craft want to see flourishes, and the Top Tip Tuesday blog challenge is for anything girly - well housework is usually our domain! My top tip is to get that Waco pearl maker pen as it's so easy to create pearls of any size on your creations and works out really economical.
You did nail it - I chuckled before I'd even read your post. Love the colours & all those flowers are just lovely - super colours.
