Today I have one of my Cuddly Buddly creations to share with you. This is the digi image called A Stitch in Time, coloured with Copics. The background paper is from the Rose Cottage collection and I inked the edges of both the image and the paper with Spun Sugar Distress ink. But, it has lost it's pink colour and gone more tan since I made the card .. .. has this happened to you? I've edged with Stardust Stickles as well and matted with pink cardstock so that should keep things bright and cheerful. For embellishment I've punched a strip of Martha Stewart doily lace, added pale green satin ribbon and Marianne diecut flowers with little gem star centres. The text is from a clear Kanban set I have in my stash stamped with London Fog Momento ink rather than my usual black as I wanted to keep the soft girly feel to the card.
The Winter Wonderland blog is allowing non-Christmas creations for the first few challenges of the year, and the current one is 'going dotty'. As I have dotty patterned paper I'm entering my card in their challenge.

I ahven't used Spun Sugar enough to know about the "tanning" but in the photo it looks fairly pink & not out of place - just soft in keeping with the London Fog you used for the sentiment. That layered border is a real beauty with those amazing flowers, a real feast for the eyes this one.
ReplyDeleteHave a good weekend.
