Rose's Garden

The theme for challenge #8 on the Stampavie DT blog is 'In the Garden' and what better stamp then this Sarah Kay one called Rose's Garden. And have you seen the new Sarah Kay stamps, they are gorgeous, and then next month there will be the Christmas ones .. .. wow I want them all! I have 3 of the new ones on order, just wish it could be more, one of them being the re-released Spring image that I love so much, and now I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they might re-release the one where she is leaning on the gate/style sometime soon .. ..

Anyway, back to my card. I've coloured my image with Polychromos pencils and stippled the edges with Magnolia Bud Versamagic chalk ink to take off the starkness, paper pricked the corners and mounted with a scrap of Always Artichoke cardstock from Stampin' Up! The dp is Kay & Co with the edges chalked in dark green chalk ink (as are the edges of the base card) and I've finished with scraps of ribbon, blooms, a Quickutz tag and a little charm. I added a little stamped birdie from a PB clear set, but I'm not sure I like it now, and the 'hugs' stamped on the tag is from the same set of that name.
